Introduction

We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic hospitality team. This full‑time position is integral to ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently, and in strict compliance with health and safety standards. The successful candidate will act as the liaison between kitchen staff, management, and suppliers, fostering a disciplined environment where quality food service is delivered consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily kitchen activities, ensuring all stations are prepared and staffed for the scheduled service periods.
  • Develop and maintain work schedules for chefs, line cooks, and support staff, balancing peak‑hour demands with labor cost controls.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and cleaning supplies; place orders with approved vendors and conduct regular stock audits.
  • Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to food safety, sanitation, equipment usage, and waste management.
  • Conduct routine inspections of kitchen equipment, arrange preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  • Train new hires on kitchen protocols, proper handling of kitchen tools, and emergency response procedures.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to streamline menu preparation processes, reducing prep time without compromising quality.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on production output, labor utilization, and cost variances for senior management review.
  • Serve as the point of contact for any operational issues during service, quickly resolving conflicts and maintaining a calm, professional atmosphere.
  • Ensure compliance with all local health department regulations and internal company policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; culinary or hospitality training is a plus.
  • Age: Open to candidates of any age, with a preference for individuals who bring maturity and a strong work ethic.
  • Gender: All genders are welcome to apply.
  • Experience: At least 0–2 years of hands‑on experience in a kitchen environment; prior coordination or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
  • Key skills: Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in basic computer applications for inventory tracking.
  • Personal attributes: Discipline, a positive attitude, quick‑thinking, responsibility, and a willingness to adhere to established SOPs.
  • Availability: Must be able to commit to a five‑month contract with the possibility of extension based on performance.
  • Work schedule: Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00 (8‑hour shifts).
