Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Karyawan Harian – Juru Masak to join our dynamic kitchen team. This full‑time, daily‑wage position is perfect for an enthusiastic cook who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is eager to contribute to high‑quality food preparation for our guests. The successful candidate will work six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, ensuring that every dish meets our strict standards for taste, presentation, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and portion controls.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station, adhering to all food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels, reporting shortages, and helping with the receiving of fresh produce and supplies.
- Collaborate with senior chefs and kitchen staff to develop daily specials, ensuring timely execution during peak service hours.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee food is served at optimal quality and safety.
- Participate in regular kitchen briefings, offering suggestions for menu improvement and operational efficiency.
- Handle minor equipment maintenance, such as cleaning grills, ovens, and kitchen utensils after each shift.
- Provide courteous and effective communication with front‑of‑house staff to coordinate order flow and resolve any service issues promptly.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other kitchen areas (e.g., prep, pastry) during high‑volume periods.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Male candidates only.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, hotel, or restaurant setting.
- Proven ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented personality.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene, safety standards, and proper storage procedures.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 kg when necessary.
- Flexibility to work a fixed schedule of Monday to Saturday, 08:00‑17:00.
