Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Western and Asian menu items, with a special focus on brunch specialties, while maintaining the restaurant’s signature taste and presentation standards.
- Ensure all dishes meet strict quality control measures, conducting taste tests and visual inspections before service.
- Uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene protocols in the kitchen, including proper storage, temperature control, and sanitation of equipment and work surfaces.
- Perform daily stock inventory, record usage, and communicate replenishment needs to the purchasing manager to avoid shortages.
- Collaborate closely with fellow kitchen staff, front‑of‑house team members, and management to guarantee seamless service during peak hours.
- Mentor junior cooks and kitchen assistants, sharing knowledge about cooking techniques, plating, and kitchen workflow.
- Adapt quickly to menu changes, special events, and guest dietary requests, ensuring flexibility without compromising quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health department regulations and internal standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or supply issues promptly to the kitchen supervisor.
- Contribute ideas for new dishes, seasonal specials, and process improvements to keep the menu fresh and competitive.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Gender: Male (as specified by the client).
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a cook in a reputable F&B establishment.
- Demonstrated expertise in both Western and Asian cuisine, with particular knowledge of brunch menus.
- Strong commitment to food hygiene, safety standards, and consistent quality control.
- Excellent teamwork attitude, able to communicate clearly and cooperate under pressure.
- High level of honesty, responsibility, and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving kitchen environment.
- Willingness to learn new techniques, embrace feedback, and pursue continuous professional development.
- Adaptability to variable work schedules, including weekends (Monday‑Sunday) and shifts from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM.
