Introduction
We are seeking a diligent Laboran Mikrobiologi to join our Laboratorium Penelitian dan Kualitas. The laboratory is a core part of a leading biotechnology and food safety organization that conducts advanced microbiological testing, product development, and quality assurance for a wide range of consumer goods. The successful candidate will work closely with senior analysts, researchers, and quality managers to ensure that all laboratory activities comply with stringent regulatory standards and internal SOPs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, inoculate, and incubate microbiological media and specimens according to validated protocols.
- Perform routine and specialized tests such as total plate count, coliform detection, yeast & mold enumeration, and pathogen identification.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including test results, equipment logs, and deviation reports.
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on microbiology equipment (incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets, etc.).
- Assist in the validation and verification of new analytical methods and contribute to method transfer projects.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and demonstrating compliance with ISO 17025, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.
- Apply basic statistical tools to interpret data, generate reports, and communicate findings to cross‑functional teams.
- Enforce laboratory safety protocols, manage hazardous waste, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting workflow optimizations and cost‑saving measures.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff or interns on basic microbiological techniques and good laboratory practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preference for candidates holding a D3/D4 in Health Analysis, Pharmaceutical & Food Analysis, or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of microbiology, including aseptic techniques and microbial identification.
- Ability to work flexible hours from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is a plus.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, laboratory information management systems).
- Team‑player attitude with the capacity to work independently when required.
- No prior professional experience is mandatory; fresh graduates with relevant academic training are encouraged to apply.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
