Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic Kitchen & Operations Manager to lead our culinary team and ensure the smooth, efficient running of our kitchen facilities. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is currently pursuing higher education (minimum 7th semester) and is eager to apply academic knowledge to real‑world hospitality operations. The successful candidate will blend strong operational acumen with a creative eye for social‑media trends, helping to shape both the back‑of‑house performance and the brand’s public presence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen activities, ensuring food preparation meets quality, safety, and consistency standards.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food handling, sanitation, and equipment usage.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of raw materials to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to foster a collaborative and high‑performing team.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health department regulations and internal hygiene protocols.
  • Collaborate with the menu development team to introduce new dishes that align with current culinary trends and customer preferences.
  • Track key performance indicators such as food cost percentage, labor cost, and service speed, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Utilize personal or company vehicles for timely procurement trips, vendor meetings, and occasional off‑site events.
  • Generate engaging social‑media content (photos, short videos, behind‑the‑scenes stories) that showcases kitchen activities, new menu items, and promotional campaigns.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining clear, courteous, and professional communication at all times.

Requirements

  • Maximum age: 26 years.
  • Educational background: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • Current enrollment in a university program, at least in the 7th semester.
  • Prior experience in kitchen operations or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ownership of a personal vehicle is advantageous for logistical responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong awareness of current social‑media content trends and the ability to translate them into actionable marketing ideas.
  • Practical knowledge of operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
