Introduction

To strengthen our presence in South Sumatra, we are seeking a dynamic Medical Sales Representative to manage and grow our sales channel with midwives (bidan) across multiple territories, including Lubuk Linggau, Palembang, Muara Enim, Musi Banyuasin, and Musi Rawas.

This role offers a rewarding blend of field sales, customer education, and strategic account management. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for midwives, ensuring they have the knowledge, products, and support needed to deliver optimal care to their patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular, scheduled visits to midwives within the assigned territory to present product details, answer technical questions, and demonstrate proper usage.
  • Perform comprehensive product detailing to reinforce product benefits, usage guidelines, and safety information.
  • Verify product availability at each customer’s facility, assist with order placement, and follow through to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage the billing cycle for midwife accounts, ensuring invoices are issued and collected according to agreed payment terms.
  • Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with midwives, building trust and loyalty that translate into repeat business.
  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales value and volume targets, outlet transaction coverage, and timely receivable collections.
  • Create and update a Master Customer List (MCL) and a Fixed Journey Plan to guarantee systematic coverage of all accounts.
  • Coordinate trade and marketing programs, ensuring equitable distribution and alignment with regional objectives.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports that capture performance metrics, market feedback, and the effectiveness of promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—marketing, logistics, finance—to resolve issues quickly and maintain a seamless customer experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4 (any discipline); a science background is a strong advantage.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a medical or health‑product sales representative, preferably with pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or health‑care consumables.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop sales plans, set visit schedules, and meet or exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven experience building relationships with healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists).
  • High integrity, honesty, and a results‑driven mindset.
  • Own a motorcycle with valid registration documents and a C‑class driver’s license (SIM C).
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territories, with flexibility for varying work hours.
