Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and disciplined Operator Jahit Produk Tekstil to join our fast‑growing manufacturing floor. The role is based in a modern textile plant that produces a wide range of apparel and home‑textile products for both domestic and export markets. Candidates will work alongside experienced sewers, supervisors, and quality‑control specialists to ensure that every garment meets our high standards of craftsmanship and durability.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate industrial sewing machines, overlockers, and specialized equipment according to production orders.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, pattern layouts, and work orders to determine stitching sequences and fabric handling requirements.
- Prepare fabric components by cutting, aligning, and pinning pieces accurately before stitching.
- Monitor stitch quality in real time, making adjustments to tension, needle type, and speed to prevent defects.
- Identify, isolate, and repair damaged or mis‑stitched garments, documenting the nature of each issue for continuous‑improvement reporting.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to safety protocols such as proper machine guarding and ergonomics.
- Collaborate with the quality‑control team to perform final inspections, ensuring that finished products meet dimensional tolerances and visual standards.
- Record production data, including quantities sewn, downtime, and material usage, using the plant’s ERP system.
- Participate in daily briefings and shift hand‑overs to communicate any equipment issues or workflow adjustments.
- Support inventory management by tagging and storing completed garments in the designated warehouse zones.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 18 years or older (no upper age limit).
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Prior experience in garment sewing or textile production is preferred but not mandatory; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading work orders and recording production data.
- Ability to work a six‑day week (Monday‑Saturday) from 08:00 to 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak seasons.
- Skill in managing and repairing damaged clothing items, ensuring minimal waste.
