Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Petugas Host atau Hostess (Guest Server) to join our vibrant Food & Beverage (F&B) and hospitality team. This frontline role is essential for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing guest flow, and ensuring every visitor enjoys a seamless dining experience. Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival, confirming reservations and providing clear directions to their tables.
- Maintain an organized reservation system, handling phone, online, and walk‑in bookings with precision.
- Manage table turnover efficiently, coordinating with the kitchen and service staff to minimize wait times.
- Monitor the lobby and waiting area to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and a pleasant ambiance.
- Communicate guest preferences, special requests, and any dietary restrictions to the kitchen and service teams.
- Resolve minor guest concerns on the spot and escalate more complex issues to the manager while maintaining a calm, courteous demeanor.
- Assist in preparing and updating daily seating charts, ensuring optimal utilization of floor space.
- Support the team during peak periods by handling additional tasks such as escorting guests, delivering menus, and collecting feedback.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times, especially during shift changes and weekend operations.
- Participate in regular briefings and training sessions to stay current on service standards and promotional offerings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Host/Hostess within the F&B or hospitality sector.
- High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; further education is a plus.
- All genders welcome; a polished, well‑groomed appearance is essential.
- Strong verbal communication skills, confidence, and a friendly, positive attitude.
- Proven ability to manage reservations, waitlists, and table flow efficiently.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and national holidays.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy for reservation software and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
