Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Representative – Business Development to join our fast‑growing HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, Café) division. The role is based in Pekanbaru and covers the surrounding region, with a work schedule of Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new outlet openings, expanding market share, and delivering consistent revenue growth for our consumer‑goods portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by developing a robust pipeline of prospective HORECA customers.
  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new high‑potential customers, ensuring a steady flow of new outlet openings.
  • Conduct regular on‑site visits to existing accounts to strengthen relationships, gather market intelligence, and uncover upselling opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate order forecasts, negotiate purchase orders (POs), and follow up to guarantee timely deliveries.
  • Collaborate closely with the order‑processing teams at each outlet to create mutually beneficial agreements that maximize profit for both parties.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing actionable insights to the product and marketing teams.
  • Maintain a detailed CRM record of all interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, presenting performance metrics and strategic plans.
  • Travel extensively within the assigned territory, using a personal vehicle (SIM C required) to meet clients and attend industry events.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of proven sales experience in the consumer‑goods sector, preferably within HORECA.
  • Demonstrated success covering the Pekanbaru area and its neighboring markets.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to build trust quickly.
  • Highly disciplined, results‑oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet aggressive targets.
  • Open, honest communication style and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with excellent problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of market dynamics, product ranges, and pricing strategies.
  • Valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM C) and willingness to be mobile across the territory.
  • Personal traits: proactive initiative, creativity, strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team.
