Introduction
SPX Express, a fast‑growing logistics provider in Indonesia, is seeking a motivated Shift Lead – Sortasi for its Sortation Center (SOC) in Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat. The successful candidate will lead a team of operators through the entire parcel flow – from inbound receipt to outbound dispatch – while ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and the company’s 5S continuous‑improvement program. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong logistics background, proven supervisory experience, and a willingness to work flexible shifts in a dynamic, high‑volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily operations of the Sortation Center, overseeing inbound processing, sortation, bagging, re‑processing, and outbound loading.
- Ensure all functional areas adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
- Develop and adjust manpower plans based on fluctuating daily volumes, aligning staffing levels with peak periods and special campaigns.
- Track team productivity, equipment utilization, and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sort‑throughput, error rate, and on‑time dispatch.
- Conduct regular briefings and debriefings with the shift crew to communicate performance results, address issues, and reinforce 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) initiatives.
- Identify process bottlenecks, propose corrective actions, and collaborate with the Operations Manager to implement efficiency improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of shift activities, incident reports, and inventory adjustments for audit purposes.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high morale.
- Coordinate with maintenance and facilities teams to ensure all sorting equipment remains functional and calibrated.
- Support cross‑functional projects such as system upgrades, new routing strategies, and seasonal staffing campaigns.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or Warehouse/Sortation Lead role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia (both spoken and written) and the ability to convey instructions clearly.
- Proven analytical mindset with experience tracking KPIs, preparing reports, and making data‑driven decisions.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, as the SOC operates Monday through Saturday (09:30‑18:30).
- Willingness to be stationed in Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat, with reliable local transportation.
- Knowledge of 5S methodology, lean logistics principles, and basic safety compliance (e.g., ISO 45001).
- Basic computer literacy – familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office suite.
