Introduction
We are seeking a proactive Internet & WiFi Network Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in delivering reliable broadband services to residential and business customers, ensuring seamless connectivity and high‑quality support. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled individual with strong communication abilities, capable of handling installation, activation, and troubleshooting tasks in fast‑paced environments.
As a key member of our field operations, you will work closely with our service‑delivery and customer‑experience departments to guarantee that every client receives a fully functional network solution, whether it involves fiber‑optic (FTTH), wireless, or hybrid technologies.
Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site installation and activation of internet and Wi‑Fi services for new and existing customers.
- Provide remote and on‑site technical support, diagnosing connectivity issues and resolving them efficiently.
- Configure and test networking equipment such as routers, switches, optical network terminals (ONTs), and Wi‑Fi access points.
- Document all service activities, maintain accurate logs, and update the ticketing system with detailed reports.
- Educate customers on proper usage, troubleshooting steps, and best practices to minimize future service disruptions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to relay field observations that can improve product design and deployment processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all field operations.
- Assist in inventory management of spare parts and tools, ordering replacements as needed.
Requirements
- Male candidate, maximum age of 35 years.
- Minimum education: SMK in Computer Network Engineering or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering is preferred (minimum GPA 3.00).
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in network installation, fiber‑optic (FTTH) or ISP environments.
- Valid driver’s license (SIM A) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of fiber‑optic principles, FTTH architecture, and general telecom concepts.
- Proficiency with networking tools, cable testers, OTDR devices, and Wi‑Fi analyzers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends (Monday‑Sunday, 08:00‑17:00).
