Introduction

BNI Life is seeking dynamic and results‑driven individuals to join our team as Bank Assurance Specialists (BAS). The successful candidate will act as the face of BNI Life within selected BNI branch offices in the regions of Konawe Utara, Konawe Selatan, Kolaka Utara, Kolaka Timur, and Bombana. This role focuses on the promotion and sale of individual bancassurance products, primarily life‑insurance policies, to both existing bank customers and new prospects.

As a BAS you will blend banking expertise with insurance knowledge, creating a seamless experience for customers who wish to protect their families and assets while leveraging the trusted relationship they already have with BNI Bank.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a quarterly sales plan for life‑insurance products within the assigned BNI branch, aligning targets with corporate objectives.
  • Conduct proactive outreach, product presentations, and needs‑analysis meetings with individual customers to identify appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date pipeline in the CRM system, tracking leads, conversions, and post‑sale follow‑ups.
  • Collaborate closely with branch managers, tellers, and relationship managers to cross‑sell insurance solutions during routine banking interactions.
  • Organize and lead small‑group seminars or financial‑wellness workshops to educate the community about the benefits of bancassurance.
  • Negotiate policy terms, explain underwriting requirements, and ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders (BNI staff) and external partners (customers, medical providers, and claim adjusters).
  • Provide timely feedback to product development and marketing teams regarding customer preferences and market trends.
  • Participate in continuous training programs and obtain certifications offered by BNI Life Insurance.
  • Represent BNI Life with a professional, polished appearance and uphold the brand’s reputation for trustworthiness and service excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; candidates with a D3 or S1 degree in any discipline are also welcome.
  • Age between 20 and 35 years.
  • At least 1 year of experience in financial‑services marketing; 2 years of experience in the banking or insurance sector is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex insurance concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and objection‑handling skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Professional appearance, well‑groomed, and able to represent the brand in client‑facing settings.
  • Enthusiastic about sales, with a genuine interest in helping individuals secure their financial future.
  • Not listed as an active participant in the AAJI (Asosiasi Asuransi Jiwa Indonesia) blacklist.
  • Flexibility to travel within the assigned region and occasional participation in out‑of‑town training or conferences.
