Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and customer‑focused Cashier – Retail Frontline Operations to join our busy store located in the Cilandak area. Responsibilities
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently, scanning items, applying discounts, and processing cash, credit, and mobile payments.
- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, reconciling any discrepancies and preparing accurate cash reports.
- Provide friendly, professional service to every customer, answering questions about products, promotions, and store policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area, including regular sanitization of equipment and surrounding spaces.
- Assist with inventory control by reporting low‑stock items, returns, and any damaged merchandise observed during transactions.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and supervisors to ensure seamless store operations during peak hours and special sales events.
- Handle customer complaints or issues calmly, escalating to management when necessary while striving for a satisfactory resolution.
- Stay up‑to‑date with current promotions, loyalty programs, and seasonal sales to maximize upselling opportunities.
- Participate in periodic training sessions on new POS features, cash handling procedures, and customer service best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Maximum age: 30 years.
- At least 1 year of proven experience working as a cashier in a retail environment.
- Strong numerical ability and meticulous attention to detail when handling cash and processing transactions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage customers with a courteous and helpful attitude.
- Demonstrated honesty and integrity, especially in cash handling and confidential customer information.
- Preferred residence within Cilandak or surrounding neighborhoods for easy commute.
- Basic proficiency with standard POS systems and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with flexibility for occasional overtime during holiday seasons.
