Introduction

We are seeking a motivated Wi‑Fi Installation Technician to join our fast‑growing network operations team in the Batam region. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering reliable broadband and Wi‑Fi services to residential and business customers, ensuring seamless connectivity across our expanding fiber‑to‑the‑home (FTTH) and ISP infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Perform end‑to‑end installation, configuration, and activation of Wi‑Fi routers, access points, and FTTH equipment at customer premises.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess cabling routes, signal strength, and potential interference, documenting findings for engineering teams.
  • Provide on‑site and remote technical support, troubleshooting connectivity issues, firmware updates, and hardware failures.
  • Collaborate with the network planning department to recommend optimal device placement and network topology for each customer.
  • Educate customers on proper equipment usage, safety procedures, and basic troubleshooting steps to reduce repeat service calls.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, installation checklists, and inventory logs using the company’s CRM system.
  • Adhere to safety standards, including the proper handling of fiber‑optic cables and compliance with local electrical regulations.
  • Assist in the rollout of new service packages, promotional campaigns, and technology upgrades such as Wi‑Fi 6 and mesh networking solutions.
  • Participate in periodic training sessions to stay current with emerging networking technologies, industry best practices, and company policies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering timely, professional service and clearly communicating any service limitations or required follow‑up actions.

Requirements

  • Male candidates, age 35 years or younger (maximum 31 years preferred for entry‑level).
  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; technical qualifications such as SMK Teknik Komputer Jaringan or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering (minimum 85 % for diploma, GPA ≥ 3.00 for degree).
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in network installation, fiber‑optic (FTTH) deployment, or ISP field service.
  • Valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM A) is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fiber‑optic concepts, FTTH architecture, Wi‑Fi standards, and IP networking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize multiple service tickets.
  • Physical ability to lift equipment (up to 25 kg), climb ladders, and work in varied weather conditions.
  • Commitment to a full‑time schedule: Monday – Sunday, 08:00 – 17:00.
