Introduction
We are seeking a proactive Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our dynamic data‑center team. Responsibilities
- Understand and monitor the overall operation of the data centre, ensuring uptime and adherence to service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of all equipment entering and leaving the data centre, including inventory tagging and documentation.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on critical facility components such as generators (Genset), UPS systems, electrical panels, fire‑suppression systems (FSS), power‑and‑cooling (PAC) units, air‑conditioners, and cooling infrastructure.
- Monitor facility equipment both through automated management systems and manual checks, promptly reporting anomalies.
- Generate detailed daily and monthly reports covering equipment status, incidents, and maintenance activities for senior management review.
- Provide Level‑1 troubleshooting for data‑center devices including OTDR, OPM, and other optical testing tools.
- Activate and troubleshoot FTTH (Fiber‑to‑the‑Home) services, ensuring seamless customer onboarding.
- Configure, test, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and access points (MikroTik, Ruijie, Unify, Cambium).
- Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve escalated issues and assist in network design reviews.
- Participate in shift rotations (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00) and be available for on‑call duties as needed.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; preferred specialization in Technical Computer Networking (SMK TKJ).
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a data‑center or NOC environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Fundamental understanding of routing and switching concepts.
- Proficiency with networking hardware such as MikroTik routers, switches, and various access points (Ruijie, Unify, Cambium).
- Ability to configure IP addresses, analyze network traffic, and implement basic security measures.
- Experience with optical testing equipment (OTDR, OPM) and FTTH activation.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, especially in equipment documentation and inventory management.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Effective communication skills for reporting and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing shift schedules.
