Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate English Language Teacher to join our junior high school (SMP) faculty. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in English, a genuine enthusiasm for teaching adolescents, and the creativity to design engaging lessons that inspire lifelong learning. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive English language lessons for grades 7‑9, aligning with the national curriculum and school standards.
- Develop innovative teaching materials, including multimedia presentations, interactive activities, and project‑based assignments that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student performance through quizzes, tests, oral presentations, and formative feedback, maintaining accurate records of progress.
- Provide individualized support and remedial instruction to students who need additional assistance, fostering confidence and language proficiency.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to design interdisciplinary projects that integrate English with other subjects such as history, science, and arts.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events, contributing ideas for curriculum enhancement.
- Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere that encourages respect, curiosity, and active participation.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and school management software for lesson planning, grading, and communication with parents and guardians.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in English Language, English Literature, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1‑2 years of teaching experience at the junior high school level. Fresh graduates with strong competencies are also encouraged to apply.
- Age: Candidates should be 30 years old or younger.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential; additional proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable using digital learning platforms.
- Personal Attributes: Creative, innovative, disciplined, high integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility. Must be physically and mentally healthy to meet the demands of a full‑time teaching schedule.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
