Introduction
The Community Officer position is based in Pemalang, Jawa Tengah, and plays a pivotal role in empowering low‑income women through financial literacy, micro‑enterprise support, and personalized coaching. As a bridge between the organization’s micro‑finance programs and the local community, you will travel to assigned villages, build trusting relationships, and help women transform modest savings into sustainable income‑generating activities. This full‑time role offers a structured work schedule (Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑17:00) and a comprehensive benefits package designed to reward dedication and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular field visits to assigned neighborhoods, engaging directly with women entrepreneurs to assess their business needs and financial habits.
- Deliver tailored financial‑literacy workshops covering budgeting, simple bookkeeping, disciplined savings, and responsible loan repayment.
- Facilitate group‑based, collateral‑free financing by coordinating loan disbursement, monitoring repayment schedules, and providing ongoing mentorship.
- Act as a trusted advisor by listening to client concerns, identifying obstacles, and proposing practical solutions that enhance business performance.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, loan performance, and training outcomes using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Collaborate with the regional operations team to report on community impact, suggest program improvements, and share success stories.
- Promote the organization’s mission in public forums, community events, and social media to attract new participants and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
- Continuously develop personal skills in communication, detail‑orientation, and cultural adaptability to serve a diverse client base effectively.
Requirements
- Female candidates only; age between 18 and 33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 qualifications are highly regarded.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for meeting and assisting people.
- Ability to adapt quickly to varying community dynamics and to work independently in the field.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for data entry and reporting.
