Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Cikarang facility. This role is ideal for recent graduates as well as engineers with a solid foundation in electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing disciplines who are eager to specialize in HVAC systems. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, supporting the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our chillers, freezers, and related equipment.
The position operates on a six‑day work week (Monday‑Saturday) with a shift schedule that may include weekends. Candidates must be physically and mentally fit, ready to adapt to shifting patterns, and able to start immediately.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, including chillers, freezers, and auxiliary equipment.
- Analyze machine performance data to identify inefficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and implement optimization projects.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to coordinate shutdowns, system upgrades, and emergency repairs while minimizing downtime.
- Document all maintenance activities, generate technical reports, and maintain accurate equipment logs in compliance with ISO and safety standards.
- Support the commissioning of new HVAC installations, ensuring proper testing, calibration, and hand‑over to operations staff.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Participate in root‑cause analysis (RCA) investigations for recurring failures and develop long‑term corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations, energy‑efficiency targets, and company safety policies.
- Respond to after‑hours calls and be on‑call for critical system failures, adhering to the agreed shift schedule.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Gender: Male candidates only (as stipulated by the client’s operational policy).
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with HVAC systems is preferred; fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of HVAC principles, chiller and freezer operation, and machine analysis techniques.
- Physical Condition: Must be in good health both physically and mentally to handle shift work and weekend duties.
- Availability: Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and to join the team immediately.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem‑solving abilities, effective communication, teamwork orientation, and a proactive attitude toward safety and continuous improvement.
