Introduction
Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing firm based in Lamongan, Jawa Timur, is seeking a dedicated Staff Compliance Specialist to join their corporate team. This role is critical in ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant Indonesian government regulations, including labor law, occupational safety (K3), licensing, and environmental standards. The successful candidate will act as a guardian of compliance, providing guidance, oversight, and training to protect the company’s reputation and operational continuity.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily operations to verify compliance with national labor statutes, safety protocols, and industry‑specific licensing requirements.
- Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive compliance manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Conduct regular internal audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses; prepare detailed reports for senior management and recommend corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, handling inspections, permit renewals, and responding to regulatory inquiries.
- Lead training sessions and workshops for staff at all levels, promoting a culture of compliance, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, and Legal departments to integrate compliance considerations into hiring, onboarding, and project planning.
- Track legislative changes and emerging regulatory trends, advising the business on potential impacts and necessary adaptations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including incident logs, corrective action plans, and compliance dashboards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering strong leadership and teamwork skills within the compliance function.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field (S1).
- Demonstrated understanding of Indonesian labor law, occupational safety (K3), licensing, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Assertive yet diplomatic communication style, capable of influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive compliance initiatives.
- Willingness to relocate to Lamongan, Jawa Timur, and work a Monday‑Saturday schedule (08:00‑17:00).
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with a focus on clear, concise reporting.
