Introduction

We are seeking a diligent and personable Housekeeping – Room Attendant to join our dynamic hospitality team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that every guest experiences a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment during their stay. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all guest rooms, while collaborating closely with fellow housekeeping staff and front‑desk personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, polishing furniture, and changing linens in accordance with brand standards.
  • Restock amenities such as toiletries, minibar items, and guest supplies, ensuring inventories are accurate and well‑organized.
  • Inspect rooms after cleaning to verify that all work meets quality guidelines; report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Respond to guest requests for additional items or services in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas, corridors, and service elevators as needed.
  • Collaborate with the housekeeping supervisor to prioritize room turnover during high‑occupancy periods.
  • Adhere to safety and infection‑control protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Document completed tasks using the property management system, ensuring accurate record‑keeping for audit purposes.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new cleaning techniques, sustainability initiatives, and guest service trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; a background in hospitality or hotel management is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience as a Room Attendant or in a comparable housekeeping role.
  • Strong teamwork orientation with the ability to follow instructions and maintain discipline in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering spotless results.
  • Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is a plus.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 25 kg, and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as dictated by hotel occupancy.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for hospitality service.
