Introduction
The Automotive Sales & Customer Service Cashier (Kasir Penjualan Otomotif dan Layanan Pelanggan) is a pivotal role within our fast‑growing automotive dealership network. You will be the frontline financial steward, ensuring every transaction—whether cash, credit, or electronic—runs smoothly, accurately, and with a customer‑first attitude. This full‑time position works Monday through Saturday, 08:30 – 16:30, and offers the chance to develop expertise in retail finance, automotive product knowledge, and high‑volume customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process payments from customers with precision, handling cash, credit cards, and electronic payment platforms.
- Perform cash‑back calculations and verify that the amount tendered matches the total transaction, minimizing discrepancies.
- Provide clear, courteous information about vehicle models, parts, pricing structures, and ongoing promotions.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and offer solutions in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Operate and maintain point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, ensuring data integrity and timely entry of each sale.
- Generate daily financial reports, reconcile cash drawers, and flag any irregularities for management review.
- Assist the sales team by preparing invoices, processing trade‑in allowances, and coordinating with the finance department.
- Maintain a tidy and organized cashier station, adhering to company security policies for cash handling.
- Stay updated on new automotive products, financing options, and industry trends to better serve customers.
- Collaborate with after‑sales service personnel to schedule test drives, service appointments, and warranty claims as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 or a bachelor’s degree (S1) in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience as a cashier, sales associate, or in a similar customer‑service role, preferably within the automotive or retail sector.
- Strong mathematical ability with meticulous attention to detail in cash handling and transaction verification.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and a working proficiency in English; ability to convey complex product information clearly.
- Demonstrated customer‑service orientation with a friendly, patient, and solution‑focused demeanor.
- Proficiency in operating POS software, electronic payment gateways, and basic spreadsheet tools for daily reporting.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines during peak sales periods.
- Understanding of non‑cash payment technologies, including contactless cards, mobile wallets, and QR‑code payments.
