Introduction
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Guru Bahasa Inggris (SMA/SMK) to join our dynamic team of educators in Indonesia. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality English instruction to senior secondary students across our campuses in Bandung, Medan, or Cirebon. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons in line with the Cambridge curriculum and national standards.
- Design and adapt instructional materials, including worksheets, multimedia resources, and assessment tools.
- Assess student performance through quizzes, tests, projects, and oral examinations, providing timely feedback and individualized support.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in the school’s learning management system.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum coordinators, and school leadership to ensure interdisciplinary coherence and continuous improvement.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as English clubs, debate teams, and language immersion events.
- Participate in regular professional development workshops, peer observations, and school improvement meetings.
- Uphold school policies, promote a positive learning environment, and serve as a role model for student conduct and academic integrity.
- Engage with parents and guardians through meetings, progress reports, and community events to discuss student achievement and areas for growth.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, English Language Teaching, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Graduated from a state or private university with an “A” accreditation.
- GPA of at least 3.00 for a Bachelor’s degree and 3.25 for a Master’s degree.
- At least 1 year of proven teaching experience at the senior high school (SMA) or vocational (SMK) level.
- Fluent speaking and writing skills in English; certification such as TOEFL, IELTS, or CAE is preferred.
- Strong familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and its assessment methodology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- Demonstrated passion for education and continuous professional growth.
- Willingness to be placed in Bandung, Medan, or Cirebon and to work the schedule: Monday‑Friday, 07:00‑16:00.
- Maximum age of 30 years (flexibility may be considered for exceptional candidates).
- Proficient in using educational technology, including virtual classrooms, learning management systems, and multimedia tools.
