Introduction
SPX Express is seeking a dynamic Shift Lead to join the team at our Sortation Center (SOC) located in Lampung 2, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. This pivotal role oversees daily operations, ensuring that inbound, sortation, bagging, reprocessing, and outbound processes run smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between senior management and frontline staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement while adhering to the highest standards of the logistics industry.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the day‑to‑day operations of the Sortation Center, covering inbound receipt, automated sortation, bagging, re‑processing, and outbound dispatch.
- Ensure all activities comply with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
- Develop and adjust manpower plans in response to fluctuating daily volumes, guaranteeing optimal staffing levels.
- Track team productivity, equipment utilization, and capacity metrics; implement corrective actions when performance deviates from targets.
- Conduct daily briefings to communicate operational results, address bottlenecks, and reinforce 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) initiatives.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and IT teams to resolve technical issues that could impact throughput.
- Prepare shift reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), incidents, and improvement opportunities.
- Mentor and coach warehouse staff, fostering leadership skills and promoting a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- At least 2–3 years of logistics experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or warehouse‑lead capacity.
- Proven track record of managing teams in a high‑volume distribution environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate diverse groups.
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and decision‑making abilities.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and willingness to be stationed at SOC Lampung 2.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
