Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Attendant – Pool Services Team to join our hospitality family at a premier resort that caters to both local and international guests. The successful candidate will work closely with the housekeeping and front‑office teams, delivering seamless poolside service from sunrise to sunset.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and arrange pool towels, sunbeds, and lounge chairs each morning to guarantee a ready‑to‑use pool area for early‑rising guests.
- Perform daily cleaning of the pool surface using vacuum equipment and wall brushes, ensuring crystal‑clear water and spotless tiles.
- Monitor and adjust pool chemistry by testing pH and chlorine levels, applying the correct dosage of chemicals to maintain health‑compliant water quality.
- Conduct routine inspections of pool safety equipment, including life‑saving devices and first‑aid kits, and report any deficiencies immediately.
- Maintain the surrounding pool deck free of debris, leaves, and litter, and ensure that signage and safety barriers are properly positioned.
- Assist guests with poolside requests, such as delivering light refreshments, providing towels, and answering basic inquiries in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Respond promptly to any emergency situations, applying basic life‑saving techniques and first‑aid care while coordinating with senior staff or emergency services.
- Document daily activities, chemical logs, and incident reports accurately for management review.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to coordinate linen inventory and ensure timely replacement of worn or soiled towels.
- Uphold a calm and welcoming atmosphere, addressing guest concerns with professionalism and a friendly smile.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum SMK Pariwisata or equivalent high school diploma; D3/D4 degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in pool maintenance or a similar role, preferably within hotels, resorts, or luxury villas.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically robust, able to lift moderate loads, stand for extended periods, and possess strong swimming abilities for safety compliance.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in pool cleaning techniques (vacuuming, brushing, skimming).
- Knowledge of pool chemistry, including accurate measurement and adjustment of pH and chlorine levels.
- Basic life‑saving (Lifeguard) awareness and first‑aid (P3K) certification.
- Ability to communicate basic information in English, especially for greeting and assisting foreign guests.
- Soft Skills:
- Warm, courteous demeanor with a genuine hospitality mindset.
- Strong discipline and punctuality; ability to prepare the pool area before guests arrive.
- Honesty and integrity, especially when handling guests’ belongings left around the pool.
- Adaptability to fast‑paced environments and willingness to take initiative.
- Gender: Male (as per current operational requirements).
