Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Community Officer to join our team in Madiun, Jawa Timur. This role is a cornerstone of our mission to empower low‑income women through financial literacy, micro‑enterprise support, and community‑based financing solutions. As a trusted liaison between our organization and the women we serve, you will travel across assigned districts, build strong relationships, and provide hands‑on guidance that helps families improve their economic stability and achieve long‑term prosperity.
Responsibilities
- Visit and mentor women‑entrepreneurs in the field, offering personalized business coaching and practical financial education.
- Conduct group workshops on budgeting, simple bookkeeping, disciplined saving, and loan repayment strategies.
- Facilitate the disbursement of micro‑loans using a group‑lending model that requires no collateral, while monitoring repayment schedules and offering corrective advice when needed.
- Collect and assess client data, documenting progress and challenges in accordance with internal reporting standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, actively listening to needs and proposing tailored solutions that align with both client goals and institutional policies.
- Collaborate with local partners, NGOs, and government agencies to coordinate outreach events, training sessions, and community development projects.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and cultural sensitivity while working in diverse rural and semi‑urban environments.
- Participate in regular team meetings, share field insights, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our community outreach strategies.
Requirements
- Female candidates only.
- Age between 18 and 33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for social interaction and community building.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia (additional local dialects are a plus).
- Detail‑oriented mindset with solid organizational and record‑keeping capabilities.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for reporting and data management.
- Adaptability to travel frequently within the assigned region and work flexible hours as needed.
