Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and results‑driven Remedial Collection Officer to join our finance team in Sei Rampah. This position plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s cash flow by managing overdue accounts receivable (A/R) and supporting branch operations in handling challenging client relationships. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical abilities with excellent interpersonal skills to achieve collection targets while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the entire collection process for overdue A/R, ensuring timely and accurate follow‑up on all delinquent accounts.
- Conduct field visits to borrowers and corporate clients to negotiate repayment plans, clarify outstanding balances, and resolve disputes.
- Collaborate closely with branch managers to identify high‑risk accounts and develop remedial strategies for problem partners.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports, highlighting key metrics such as recovery rate, aging analysis, and forecasted cash inflows.
- Achieve or exceed collection targets set by senior management, contributing directly to the company’s profitability.
- Maintain detailed records of all collection activities in the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed about changes in multifinance regulations, credit policies, and industry best practices to continuously improve collection techniques.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff members, sharing effective negotiation tactics and customer service approaches.
- Participate in periodic training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of credit risk assessment and debt recovery methods.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (associate or diploma) in any discipline; a bachelor’s degree (S1) is highly preferred.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in credit collection, loan servicing, or a related financial role.
- Maximum age: 29 years.
- Strong understanding of multifinance business processes, including credit evaluation, loan disbursement, and repayment monitoring.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to negotiate and persuade while maintaining customer goodwill.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, persistence, and honesty in all dealings.
- Proficiency in credit monitoring tools, debt recovery software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a demanding workload under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to be placed in a location that matches the candidate’s domicile, with travel to client sites as required.
