Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and technically‑skilled Engineering Maintenance Staff to join our manufacturing plant in Medan. This full‑time position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all production equipment and facility infrastructure operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on machinery, electrical systems, and plant facilities.
- Diagnose technical faults, troubleshoot root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate closely with production supervisors, quality control, and other engineering teams to prioritize maintenance requests and schedule work without disrupting output.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations, company SOPs, and industry standards, conducting risk assessments before any intervention.
- Record all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), preparing daily and weekly reports for management review.
- Assist in the development and updating of equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and preventive‑maintenance checklists.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement projects, suggesting upgrades or process changes that enhance equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a SMK/D3 in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 1–2 years of hands‑on experience as a maintenance staff member in a manufacturing environment; experience in the food‑processing industry is highly valued.
- Strong technical knowledge of machine maintenance, electrical circuits, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Proven problem‑solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and fixing equipment issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Male candidates only; age not exceeding 30 years.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential weekend shifts as operational demands require.
