Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Helper Dapur – Pendukung Operasional Katering to join our dynamic catering team in Tulungagung. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. The successful candidate will work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and service personnel to support daily food preparation, equipment handling, and adherence to established standard operating procedures (SOP).
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and line cooks in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, and portioning vegetables, meats, and other items.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and steamers in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Maintain a spotless and organized work station, ensuring that all surfaces, utensils, and storage areas are sanitized regularly.
- Support inventory management by receiving deliveries, checking product quality, and storing items in proper temperature‑controlled conditions.
- Follow the company’s SOPs for food handling, personal hygiene, and waste disposal to guarantee compliance with local health regulations.
- Assist in setting up buffet stations, plating meals, and replenishing food trays during service hours.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely preparation for events, corporate functions, and large‑scale catering orders.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new menu items, cooking techniques, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime or on weekends when required to meet client deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Preferably prior experience in Food & Beverage (FnB) operations, though fresh graduates with strong motivation are welcome.
- Honest, meticulous, responsible, and disciplined work ethic.
- Ability to follow SOPs precisely and maintain high standards of food safety.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle moderate lifting (up to 15 kg).
- Residence in or near Tulungagung city is highly preferred.
- No current employment or academic commitments that would interfere with the schedule.
- Basic knowledge of operating kitchen equipment and willingness to learn advanced tools.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team.
