Responsibilities
- Translate written documents, emails, contracts, and marketing materials from Mandarin to Indonesian and vice versa with high accuracy.
- Provide real‑time interpretation during meetings, conference calls, and on‑site visits, ensuring clear communication between parties.
- Proofread and edit translated content to maintain consistency with corporate style guides and terminology databases.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including sales, legal, and product development—to understand context and deliver culturally appropriate translations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to data‑protection policies.
- Assist in the localization of websites, software interfaces, and multimedia assets for Chinese‑speaking markets.
- Stay updated on industry‑specific terminology, emerging language trends, and regulatory changes in both Indonesia and China/Taiwan.
- Support onboarding of new Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) in Chinese-speaking regions by providing language assistance and cultural orientation when needed.
- Manage translation project timelines, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting tools or processes that enhance translation quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin and Indonesian; ability to comprehend nuanced conversations.
- Demonstrated responsibility and reliability in meeting work commitments.
- Strong adaptability to quickly adjust to new work environments and changing project scopes.
- Prior experience as an Indonesian Migrant Worker (PMI) in China or Taiwan is considered a valuable advantage.
- Good physical and mental health to sustain full‑day work schedules.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic computer literacy; familiarity with translation software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) is a plus.
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with flexibility for occasional overtime.
