Introduction
We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant and Finance Officer to join our dynamic finance team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, supporting month‑end close processes, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, be proficient with modern accounting software, and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and integrity when handling sensitive financial information. The role is based in our Jakarta office, operating Monday through Friday, 09:00 – 18:00, and offers the opportunity to grow within a fast‑moving, mid‑size enterprise that values continuous improvement and collaborative problem‑solving.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post general journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and produce monthly financial statements in accordance with Indonesian GAAP.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve them promptly.
- Manage petty cash, record daily cash transactions, and reconcile cash balances at month‑end.
- Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue invoices, and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Compile weekly and monthly cash‑flow reports, highlighting variances and forecasting short‑term liquidity needs.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing required documentation, explanations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare tax filings (PPN, PPh21/23/26) and verify compliance with all applicable tax regulations.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all financial documents, both physical and electronic, to facilitate quick retrieval and audit readiness.
- Draft, review, and manage financial contracts with vendors, service providers, and other third‑party partners.
- Utilize QuickBooks, Xero, and Accurate for transaction processing, and leverage advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) for data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with other departments—such as procurement, sales, and HR—to ensure accurate cost allocation and budgeting.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and cost‑saving initiatives, presenting recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma 3 (D3) or D4 in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and Indonesian tax law.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Accurate.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data modeling, charting, and macro development.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed financial analysis and produce accurate reports.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and a meticulous, detail‑oriented work style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Strong time‑management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
