Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Barista Profesional to join our premium coffee shop located in the vibrant Cilandak area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about specialty coffee, enjoy delivering outstanding customer experiences, and thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. The successful candidate will work six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and will be an ambassador of our brand’s commitment to quality, consistency, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of espresso‑based beverages, pour‑over coffees, cold brews, and handcrafted specialty drinks in accordance with our standardized recipes.
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation for all workstations, equipment, and customer areas, adhering to health‑code regulations.
- Operate and regularly calibrate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee‑making equipment to ensure optimal extraction and flavor profiles.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and ancillary supplies, notifying the manager of low stock and assisting with weekly ordering.
- Handle cash transactions, process digital payments, and accurately record sales using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests, explaining bean origins, roast characteristics, and brewing methods to enhance their coffee journey.
- Develop latte art and other visual presentation skills to elevate the aesthetic appeal of each beverage.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth shift transitions, covering breaks, and supporting fellow staff during peak hours.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions, product tastings, and quality‑control evaluations to stay current with industry trends.
- Assist in onboarding and mentoring new barista staff, sharing best practices and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
Requirements
- Male or female, maximum age of 30 years.
- Minimum education: SMA / SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a coffee‑focused environment, preferably within a specialty or premium coffee shop.
- Polished appearance, honest demeanor, disciplined work ethic, and strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and cooperate with colleagues.
- Preferably resides in Cilandak or surrounding neighborhoods for convenient commute.
- Demonstrated passion for coffee culture, including knowledge of bean origins, roasting levels, and brewing techniques.
- Strong customer‑service orientation, with the ability to handle multiple orders efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling and inventory tracking.
- Flexibility to work six days a week, including occasional weekend shifts.
