The Faculty of Fisheries is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our academic team as a Dosen Teknologi Hasil Perikanan (Lecturer in Fisheries Product Technology). Responsibilities
- Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses covering fish processing technologies, quality assurance, and product development.
- Develop and update curricula to reflect emerging trends such as sustainable aquaculture, novel preservation methods, and digitalization of the seafood supply chain.
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and practical laboratory work, providing mentorship and constructive feedback.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research, aiming for publication in peer‑reviewed journals and presentation at national and international conferences.
- Secure research grants and manage funded projects, ensuring compliance with university and sponsor regulations.
- Engage with industry partners, governmental agencies, and NGOs to facilitate technology transfer, internships, and joint development programs.
- Participate in departmental committees, accreditation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure safety protocols, and oversee the proper handling of biological samples.
- Contribute to community outreach programs, workshops, and public lectures to raise awareness about sustainable fisheries practices.
- Operate effectively under tight deadlines and high‑pressure situations, especially during peak academic periods and project deliverables.
Requirements
- Minimum academic qualification: Master’s degree (S2) in Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, Food Technology, or a closely related field.
- Preferably a Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral studies for candidates aiming for promotion to senior academic ranks.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in fisheries product technology, including laboratory work, industry practice, or previous teaching roles.
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams as well as independently.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proven capability to manage stress and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Minimum educational background: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent is required for administrative completeness, though the primary qualification is a graduate degree.
