We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Editor – Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (Social Sciences) to join our editorial team. This role is pivotal in shaping high‑quality educational content for textbooks, digital learning platforms, and supplementary teaching materials that serve schools across Indonesia. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute editorial concepts and yearly content plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Write, compile, and organize manuscript drafts for subjects such as Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, and Pancasila.
- Perform substantive editing to ensure logical flow, factual accuracy, and pedagogical relevance.
- Conduct redactional editing for grammar, style, and adherence to house‑keeping guidelines.
- Execute meticulous proofreading and coordinate revision cycles with authors and subject‑matter experts.
- Oversee quality‑control processes, including plagiarism checks, formatting consistency, and compliance with national education regulations.
- Collaborate with designers to produce print‑ready book layouts and interactive digital assets.
- Manage the creation of teacher’s guides, workbooks, and digital learning modules, ensuring seamless integration with classroom activities.
- Maintain project timelines, track progress in project‑management tools, and report status to senior editorial leadership.
- Mentor junior editors and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the editorial department.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Social Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, Pancasila, or Education (preferred).
- At least 1 year of professional experience in editorial, publishing, or academic writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet research tools, and familiarity with Adobe InDesign.
- Strong command of Indonesian language, with excellent proofreading and copy‑editing skills.
- Ability to work full‑time, including occasional overtime and under tight deadlines.
