Introduction
The Head of Sales and Business Development is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and leading a high‑performing sales team in the Bitung region. This full‑time position operates Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and reports directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution to ensure that sales targets are not only met but consistently exceeded.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with corporate objectives and market dynamics.
- Set clear, measurable sales targets for the team, monitor progress daily, and adjust tactics to guarantee maximum achievement.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of all sales personnel under your supervision, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Coordinate with the marketing department to create promotional campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives that drive pipeline growth.
- Conduct regular market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback loops to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and relevant government or industry agencies to enhance brand reputation and secure long‑term contracts.
- Prepare, analyze, and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards to senior management.
- Oversee budgeting, pricing strategies, and discount structures to ensure profitability while remaining competitive.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations throughout the sales process.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as sales training programs, CRM optimization, and process automation.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Age not exceeding 40 years.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in Retail, Leasing, or Automotive sales, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating high‑performing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
- Creative, dynamic, and results‑oriented mindset with a high achievement orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure, demonstrate resilience, honesty, and a proactive attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable using CRM and sales analytics tools.
- Valid driver’s license (SIM A or SIM C).
- Willingness to be based in Bitung and travel within the surrounding region as needed.
