Responsibilities
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system accurately, processing cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining balanced registers.
- Provide knowledgeable product recommendations, explain features, and answer customer inquiries about pet food, accessories, and care items.
- Maintain a tidy sales floor, including sweeping, dusting shelves, and ensuring display units are well‑stocked and visually appealing.
- Assist with inventory control: receive shipments, verify quantities, label products, and perform regular stock counts.
- Handle animal‑related tasks such as greeting and calming dogs and cats that accompany shoppers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Work in rotating shifts, including weekends, to guarantee coverage during peak shopping hours.
- Monitor and replenish promotional signage, price tags, and product information to keep the store up‑to‑date.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to resolve any customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Participate in ongoing product training sessions to deepen knowledge of new pet care lines and seasonal offerings.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards, especially when handling live animals and cleaning the store environment.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including Saturdays.
- Positive attitude with strong ethical values: honesty, discipline, attention to detail, diligence, and responsibility.
- Genuine love for animals and comfort around dogs and cats.
- Excellent communication skills; capable of presenting products clearly and persuasively.
- Eagerness to learn and master a wide range of pet‑care products.
- Proficiency in using a cash register or POS system (Sistem Kasir).
- Capability to maintain store cleanliness and uphold hygiene standards.
