Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Kitchen Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic culinary team in Gresik City. This role is ideal for recent high school or vocational graduates who are eager to develop a career in food service management, possess a passion for cooking, and thrive in a fast‑paced kitchen environment. The successful candidate will work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, ensuring that all kitchen activities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily kitchen workflow, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and service timelines.
- Manage inventory of raw ingredients, dry goods, and kitchen supplies, conducting regular stock checks and placing orders as needed.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with local health regulations.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment, troubleshooting minor issues and arranging service for larger repairs.
- Assist chefs and line cooks with basic cooking tasks, especially during peak hours, to ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food preparation, storage, and waste management.
- Track daily production metrics, report variances, and suggest process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Train new kitchen staff on safety protocols, equipment handling, and basic culinary techniques.
- Collaborate with the front‑of‑house team to align kitchen output with customer demand and special event requirements.
- Handle administrative duties such as scheduling shifts, maintaining attendance records, and preparing weekly performance reports.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 25 years old or younger.
- Residency: Must reside in Gresik City or surrounding areas.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Basic cooking skills are strongly preferred; candidates who can demonstrate practical kitchen experience will have an advantage.
- Proficiency in operating common kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, mixers, and slicers.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with chefs, vendors, and management.
- Commitment to adhering to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, local health codes).
