Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Retail Sales Cashier who excels in customer service and possesses a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities
- Accurately process all cash, credit, and digital payments using the store’s POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system.
- Greet customers promptly, answer product inquiries, and provide recommendations that enhance the shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area, ensuring that receipts, bags, and promotional materials are readily available.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policy while preserving customer goodwill.
- Monitor inventory levels at the register, alerting the floor team when stock replenishment is needed.
- Collaborate with teammates on daily opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and report generation.
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross‑sell complementary items, contributing to store revenue targets.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security protocols, reporting any suspicious activity immediately.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new product lines, promotional campaigns, and system upgrades.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer trends, recurring issues, or suggestions for process improvements.
Requirements
- Honesty and a strong sense of responsibility – the cornerstone of trustworthy cash handling.
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Open to fresh graduates; prior experience in a retail cash handling role is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team, respecting all genders and backgrounds.
- Proficiency with cashier systems and basic computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; additional language abilities are advantageous.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, with occasional overtime during promotional periods.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail to minimize transaction errors.
