Introduction

SPX Express, a leading logistics and transportation provider in Indonesia, is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Koordinator HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) for its operations in Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our facilities, fleet, and personnel by driving a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. This full‑time position works Monday through Friday, 09:30 – 18:30, and offers the opportunity to influence safety standards across a fast‑growing regional hub.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of warehouses, loading bays, and the entire vehicle fleet, ensuring strict adherence to the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Evaluate facility conditions and route plans to guarantee safe trip management, including risk assessments for hazardous road sections.
  • Monitor operational and maintenance activities in the plant and surrounding work environment to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with local regulations.
  • Oversee the safety of all ingress and egress points, ensuring that emergency exits, signage, and access controls remain functional and unobstructed.
  • Supervise the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials such as fuel, chemicals, and batteries, following both internal SOPs and national K3 standards.
  • Review electrical safety controls, perform grounding inspections, and implement measures to eliminate shock hazards from portable and fixed electrical equipment.
  • Lead investigations of traffic incidents, prepare accurate reports, and recommend corrective actions to reduce future occurrences.
  • Design and deliver 5S training, emergency‑response drills, defensive‑driving workshops, and road‑safety briefings for all staff and drivers.
  • Facilitate daily safety briefings with drivers, emphasizing current hazards, weather conditions, and route updates.
  • Track driver qualifications, conduct regular audits of licensing and medical fitness, and coordinate the selection process for new drivers.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and maintain a comprehensive Warehouse Safety Management System, integrating audit findings and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly HSE performance dashboards, highlighting key metrics such as incident rates, inspection compliance, and training completion.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on HSE experience within a logistics, trucking, or warehousing environment; experience with large‑scale fleet operations is a strong plus.
  • Valid basic fire‑fighter certificate and AK3 (General) as well as AK3 Listrik (Electrical) certifications issued by Kemenakertrans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and Google Slides for reporting and presentations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 5S implementation, warehouse safety management systems, and traffic‑accident reporting procedures.
  • Strong investigative skills, ability to conduct root‑cause analyses, and produce clear, actionable incident reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to train diverse teams, negotiate with drivers, and influence senior leadership.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring.
  • Willingness to relocate to Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara, and travel occasionally to other SPX Express sites.
