Introduction

We are seeking a proactive and results‑driven Regional Area Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts across the Makassar region. This pivotal role will be based in Makassar and will focus on expanding our market presence, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth for our dynamic organization. The ideal candidate is a motivated self‑starter with a solid foundation in sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the local market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the Makassar area, aligning with overall company objectives.
  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships to maximize repeat business.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle—from initial contact and product presentation to negotiation, closing, and post‑sale follow‑up.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide actionable insights to product and marketing teams.
  • Set realistic sales targets, track performance against KPIs, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team of sales representatives, conducting regular coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate with logistics, finance, and customer service departments to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
  • Organize and participate in regional trade shows, promotional events, and customer workshops to boost brand visibility.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions using the company’s CRM system.

Requirements

  • Residence in Makassar with thorough knowledge of the local geography and business landscape.
  • Minimum of 1 year proven experience in a sales role, preferably within a similar industry.
  • Educational background: at least a high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • Age 20 years or older, with a strong work ethic and high initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; additional language proficiency is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and familiarity with CRM tools.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional travel within the region.
