Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Part‑Time English Teacher to join our growing language centre. Reporting to the Center Director and the Director of Studies, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality English instruction to a diverse student body, both on‑site and in virtual environments. This position offers a flexible schedule of up to 40 academic hours per week (equivalent to 24 classroom hours) and is ideal for educators who are passionate about language acquisition and cultural exchange.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English lessons that adhere to the centre’s pedagogical standards and curriculum.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, and supplementary resources in advance of each class.
- Follow the weekly timetable assigned by the Director of Studies, including split‑shift arrangements (morning and evening) as needed.
- Administer and grade tests, quizzes, and assessments in line with centre procedures, providing timely feedback to students.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance logs, and progress reports; issue certificates upon course completion.
- Conduct placement testing and interview prospective learners to ensure appropriate class placement.
- Facilitate demonstration lessons, conversation clubs, and extracurricular language activities.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as equipment upkeep, resource management, and coordination of marketing events.
- Stay current with the centre’s course offerings, teaching methodologies, and technological tools for both offline and online delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to curriculum development, and support a positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (S1) from a recognized university.
- At least one year of proven experience teaching English to secondary or adult learners.
- Excellent command of English—both spoken and written; TOEFL ≥ 550 or IELTS ≥ 6.5 is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in delivering lessons both offline and online, with familiarity of virtual classroom platforms.
- Ability to commit to a minimum one‑year contract and a part‑time schedule of up to 40 academic hours per week.
