Introduction
We are seeking a diligent Retail Cashier – Customer Transaction Specialist to join our fast‑growing retail team. This front‑line position is the face of our brand, responsible for delivering smooth, accurate, and friendly checkout experiences to every customer who walks through our doors. The role is open to candidates of any gender who have completed at least a high school education (SMA/SMK or equivalent) and are ready to thrive in a dynamic, high‑traffic store environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems to process cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments quickly and accurately.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer by counting cash at the beginning and end of each shift and reconciling any discrepancies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting shoppers, answering product questions, and resolving minor complaints on the spot.
- Scan and bag merchandise efficiently while ensuring that all promotional items and discounts are applied correctly.
- Monitor and restock checkout counters with bags, receipt paper, and other essential supplies.
- Collaborate with sales associates, inventory staff, and floor managers to ensure that out‑of‑stock items are communicated promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding loss prevention, including vigilant observation for suspicious activity.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, including securing the register, preparing deposit slips, and completing end‑of‑day reports.
- Work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on new POS features, product knowledge, and customer service techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a retail cash handling or customer‑service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to customers and teammates.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a sense of responsibility in handling cash and confidential information.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Comfortable working under pressure, especially during busy periods such as weekends and promotional events.
- Basic proficiency with POS systems and familiarity with the “Sistem Kasir” software.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime as needed.
