Introduction
Wuling Kumala Malalayang is expanding its service team and is looking for a motivated Mechanical Service Technician to join our workshop in Malalayang. This position is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in automotive technology who are eager to apply their skills in a fast‑paced environment that services a wide range of light‑weight vehicles. As part of our dedicated service department, you will play a critical role in ensuring that every customer leaves the garage with a safely operating, well‑maintained vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non‑routine servicing on light‑weight (Roda Ringan) vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, suspension adjustments, and engine tune‑ups.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using both manual inspection techniques and computer‑aided diagnostic tools.
- Disassemble, repair, re‑assemble, and test vehicle components such as brakes, steering systems, fuel systems, and transmission parts.
- Maintain accurate service records in the workshop management system, documenting labor, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.
- Communicate clearly with customers and service advisors, explaining needed repairs, estimated costs, and expected completion times.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations while handling hazardous fluids and materials.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and the parts department to source correct components quickly, reducing vehicle downtime.
- Participate in continuous training programs to stay up‑to‑date with the latest Wuling models, OEM service bulletins, and emerging automotive technologies.
- Assist in workshop housekeeping, keeping tools organized and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a diploma (SMK/D3) or bachelor’s degree (S1) in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- Age limit: up to 30 years old.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience working in a light‑vehicle repair shop or dealership service center.
- Strong understanding of basic automotive concepts, engine operation, and vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in using computer diagnostic equipment and workshop management software.
- Valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM A).
- Excellent communication skills, high motivation, honesty, meticulousness, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to shifting priorities during busy service days.
