Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system efficiently, ensuring all sales are recorded accurately and receipts are issued promptly.
- Process various payment methods—including cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic wallets—while adhering to company policies on cash handling and fraud prevention.
- Greet customers warmly, answer product‑related questions, and provide recommendations that enhance the shopping experience.
- Manage daily cash drawer reconciliation, prepare end‑of‑shift reports, and report any discrepancies to the store manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock impulse‑buy items, and ensure promotional materials are displayed correctly.
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges with professionalism, following established return policies.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to meet sales targets, assist during peak hours, and support inventory audits.
- Participate in regular training sessions on product knowledge, POS updates, and customer service best practices.
- Adhere to shift schedules, including weekend work (Monday‑Saturday) and occasional overtime during promotional events.
- Contribute ideas for improving checkout efficiency, reducing wait times, and enhancing overall store performance.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a cash handling or customer service role, preferably in a retail setting.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to convey information clearly and courteously.
- High level of honesty, attention to detail, and accountability for cash transactions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a cooperative spirit.
- Comfortable with a target‑driven environment and capable of maintaining composure under pressure.
- Willingness to work on a shift schedule, including early mornings and weekends.
