Introduction
Sophos School Indonesia, located in the vibrant BSD area, is urgently seeking a dedicated Psikolog Bimbingan Konseling (School Counselor) to join our interdisciplinary team. This full‑time position supports students’ academic, emotional, and social development through evidence‑based counseling, career guidance, and crisis intervention. Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students ranging from elementary to senior high, addressing issues such as stress, peer relationships, family dynamics, and career planning.
- Conduct regular mental‑health screenings, interpret assessment results, and develop personalized intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive learning environments and to monitor student progress.
- Design and deliver workshops on topics such as study skills, emotional regulation, bullying prevention, and college readiness.
- Maintain accurate confidential records in compliance with Indonesian education regulations and data‑privacy standards.
- Serve as a first responder for crisis situations, coordinating with external mental‑health services when necessary.
- Utilize Google Workspace for Education to schedule appointments, share resources, and generate reports for school leadership.
- Participate in staff development meetings, contribute to school‑wide wellbeing initiatives, and stay current with the latest counseling methodologies.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a closely related field; fresh graduates are welcome if they demonstrate strong potential.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in school counseling, youth mentorship, or community mental‑health services.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English; ability to communicate effectively in Bahasa Indonesia is essential.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Classroom, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills: responsible, committed, creative, highly motivated, fast learner, and able to work collaboratively in a team.
- Professional demeanor with a pleasant, mature personality; excellent communication and adaptability to new challenges.
- Competent computer literacy, including basic data analysis and report generation.
- Indonesian citizenship (expatriates are not eligible).
- Submission of a cover letter, comprehensive CV, reference letters, recent photograph, and proof of qualifications to the Head of Human Resources.
