Introduction

We are seeking a motivated Retail Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic procurement team. This full‑time role is based in our main warehouse and supports the retail division by ensuring that all merchandise is sourced, negotiated, and delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, builds strong vendor relationships, and contributes to inventory optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end‑to‑end purchasing activities for a wide range of retail products, from initial requisition to final receipt.
  • Develop and maintain positive, long‑term relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to confirm that ordered goods arrive on schedule and meet quality standards.
  • Process payments accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and vendor contracts.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including Purchase Orders, Work Orders, invoices, and delivery receipts, in the ERP system.
  • Generate regular reports on purchasing activity, spend analysis, and inventory levels for senior management review.
  • Monitor stock levels, anticipate shortages, and proactively initiate re‑ordering to avoid stock‑outs.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, finance, and sales departments to align purchasing decisions with market demand and promotional calendars.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and supplier consolidation to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Female candidates only; age not exceeding 35 years.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in purchasing, buying, or procurement, preferably within the retail sector.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and experience with data analysis, cost‑benefit evaluation, and inventory metrics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to convey requirements clearly and resolve vendor issues swiftly.
  • Highly responsive, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a proactive “knight‑in‑shining‑armor” attitude toward problem solving.
  • Proficiency with ERP/PO systems, Microsoft Excel, and basic accounting principles.
  • Readiness to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak seasons.
