Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales Modern Trade (MT) – Pengelola Penjualan Modern Trade to join our growing team in the Jember region. This role focuses on expanding our presence in modern trade channels, strengthening relationships with key retail partners, and driving volume growth for our consumer‑goods portfolio. The ideal candidate will combine proven sales experience with strong communication, negotiation, and logistical skills, and will be comfortable working independently while representing the brand in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting modern trade outlets such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and large retail chains within Jember and surrounding areas.
  • Identify, approach, and secure new retail accounts while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing partners.
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor shelf placement, stock levels, and promotional compliance, ensuring optimal product visibility.
  • Negotiate pricing, trade terms, and promotional activities with category managers and purchasing teams.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to implement in‑store promotions, sampling programs, and point‑of‑sale displays.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to provide actionable insights and adjust tactics accordingly.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasting demand and tracking key performance indicators such as sell‑through rates and market share.
  • Coordinate with logistics and inventory teams to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply‑chain issues that may affect customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, retailer meetings, and industry events to enhance brand awareness.
  • Mentor junior sales staff, sharing best practices and fostering a collaborative, high‑performance environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Maximum age: 35 years.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in modern trade sales within the consumer‑goods sector.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Own reliable transportation and a valid SIM C driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory that includes Jember and nearby locations.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional weekend visits as needed.
