Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Store Guard for our Pet Supplies Shop who will serve as the friendly face and operational backbone of our retail location. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail‑oriented woman who can maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and their beloved animals. This full‑time position works Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and offers the chance to develop hands‑on experience in pet care, retail operations, and customer service within a thriving pet‑focused community.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the store premises to ensure security, prevent loss, and greet customers with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Perform daily cleaning and preparation tasks before opening, including sweeping floors, sanitizing counters, and arranging merchandise.
- Receive, inspect, and pack animal feed and accessories for both in‑store sales and online orders, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
- Provide basic grooming services such as bathing, drying, and gentle brushing for customers’ pets, following health and safety guidelines.
- Assist customers with pet‑care advice, recommend appropriate products, and help with the handling and temporary care of animals brought into the shop.
- Maintain tidy product displays, restock shelves, and perform regular price checks to keep the store visually appealing.
- Record daily sales, handle cash register duties, and process electronic payments with attention to accuracy.
- Collaborate with the store manager to schedule promotional events, pet adoption days, and educational workshops.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to management promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Female candidates only, as specified by the employer.
- Age limit: up to 30 years old (interpreted from “Maksimal 0 Tahun” as a placeholder for a realistic limit).
- No prior work experience required; a willingness to learn and a passion for animals are essential.
- Basic knowledge of pet nutrition, grooming techniques, and animal handling.
- Strong observational skills for security monitoring and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and a friendly, patient attitude toward customers.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and perform physical tasks such as lifting feed bags and cleaning cages.
