Responsibilities
The newly hired technician will be deployed to various sites across Indonesia, where they will perform a range of essential duties that keep the network operating smoothly and reliably. Typical responsibilities include:
- Installing, configuring, and testing fiber‑optic and microwave links in accordance with company standards.
- Conducting preventive maintenance on base stations, towers, and related power systems.
- Troubleshooting network outages, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions on‑site.
- Climbing and securing equipment on telecommunication towers, adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Documenting all work activities, updating network diagrams, and reporting status to supervisors through digital tools.
- Collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to support new roll‑out projects and network upgrades.
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations, environmental guidelines, and company health‑and‑safety policies.
- Providing basic customer support when required, explaining technical issues in clear, non‑technical language.
Requirements
Base Riau seeks candidates who possess a blend of educational background, personal attributes, and practical readiness. The following criteria are mandatory:
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields.
- Age not exceeding 35 years.
- Male gender (as specified by the client’s operational needs).
- Possession of a personal laptop and an Android smartphone for field reporting and communication.
- Valid SIM C driving license and ownership of a motorized vehicle for local travel to sites.
- Clean Police Clearance (SKCK) and a recent medical certificate confirming good health and physical fitness.
- Willingness to work outdoors, including climbing towers and handling equipment at heights.
- Readiness to be placed in any province as dictated by project demands, with the initial training conducted in locations such as Pekanbaru, Denpasar, Makassar, Pontianak, Sintang, Samarinda, or Medan.
