Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Network Technician to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team. This role focuses on designing, installing, and maintaining robust LAN, WAN, and wireless networks for our diverse client base. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with hands‑on field experience, ensuring reliable connectivity, security, and performance across all network touch‑points.
As a senior member of the technical crew, you will act as a bridge between our customers and internal engineering, translating complex requirements into practical solutions while adhering to industry best practices. This position offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge networking equipment, including Mikrotik routers, fiber‑optic cabling, and IP‑based CCTV systems.
Responsibilities
- Plan, install, and configure customer internet connections, covering both wired (UTP) and fiber‑optic infrastructures.
- Set up and fine‑tune LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, ensuring optimal throughput and minimal latency.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Mikrotik routers, standard routers, and access points, applying proper routing, VLAN, and QoS policies.
- Install, align, and troubleshoot IP and analog CCTV cameras, integrating them with NVR/DVR systems for seamless surveillance.
- Implement and manage telephony solutions, including PABX and IP‑Phone systems, guaranteeing clear voice communication.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance, conduct on‑site inspections, and respond to emergency outages or performance issues.
- Document all installations, configurations, and changes in detailed work reports and update the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—project managers, sales engineers, and support staff—to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior technicians, sharing best practices for cable splicing, device testing, and safety protocols.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies, certifications, and security standards to recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Male candidates, maximum age 27 years (flexible for exceptional talent).
- Minimum education: SMK/D3/S1 in Computer Network Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Information, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in network installation and maintenance; fresh graduates with strong internship experience are welcome.
- Proficient in configuring LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including IP addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols.
- Expertise with Mikrotik, Cisco, or similar router platforms; ability to set up access points and secure wireless SSIDs.
- Skilled in UTP and fiber‑optic cable termination, testing, and troubleshooting, including splicing techniques.
- Knowledge of CCTV system installation (both IP and analog) and basic video‑stream configuration.
- Familiarity with telephony infrastructure (PABX, IP‑Phone) and VoIP configuration.
- Physical ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and operate in diverse field environments.
- Strong teamwork and independent problem‑solving capabilities; excellent communication skills.
- Valid SIM C driver’s license is a plus.
- Preferred certifications: MTCNA, CCNA, or equivalent networking credentials.
- Experience in an ISP environment and basic server/NAS administration is highly desirable.
