Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Teknisi Pemasangan Internet to join our fast‑growing team serving the Tebing Tinggi region. As a frontline specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering reliable broadband connectivity to residential and commercial customers, helping them stay connected in an increasingly digital world. Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site installation, configuration, and activation of FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and other broadband services for new and existing customers.
- Provide remote and in‑person technical support, troubleshooting connectivity issues, hardware failures, and signal quality problems.
- Diagnose and resolve network access equipment failures, including optical network terminals (ONT), routers, and switches.
- Communicate clearly with customers to explain technical concepts, service status, and corrective actions, ensuring they understand any disruptions.
- Document all service activities, equipment serial numbers, and customer interactions in the company’s ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the network operations center (NOC) to coordinate fiber splice repairs, line testing, and service upgrades.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols for handling fiber optic cables and electrical equipment.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest developments in fiber optic technology, ISP best practices, and industry standards.
- Assist in training junior technicians and sharing knowledge about troubleshooting methodologies.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent; candidates with SMK in Computer Networking or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering (minimum GPA 3.00) are strongly preferred.
- Age: Up to 35 years old.
- Gender: Male.
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in fiber optic installation, FTTH deployment, or ISP technical support.
- Licenses: Possession of a valid SIM A (driving license) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in fiber optic splicing, cable testing, network troubleshooting, and configuration of ONT devices.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, strong customer‑orientation, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a problem‑solving mindset.
- Work Schedule: Monday‑Sunday, 08:00‑17:00, with occasional on‑call duties for urgent service restoration.
